I didn’t know how much of foster care would happen in the in-between.
I expected court dates, case plans, visits, reunification conversations, and maybe adoption papers. What I didn’t ecpect was the long stretches of waiting -waiting to know what’s next, waiting for clarity, waiting to see how a story will end while loving someone fully in the middle of it.
